The independent guide to Morocco

Calculate the cost of one's trip to Morocco

Your amounts, an explicit calculation, a summary to keep.

Indicative estimate, to be verified with the relevant organization. This is not legal, tax, or financial advice.

Your journey and your group

Enter all prices in one currency. Selecting a fuel type does not fill in consumption or price. Changing currency does not convert the amounts.

An empty field remains unknown; zero indicates an item with no cost. Fuel requires distance, consumption and price per liter.

Outbound only

Each price is the total for the vehicle and all its travelers, for this direction only.

Understand the calculation

Prepare the cost of your route to Morocco with your own quotes. Choose the common currency for all prices, the fuel type and the number of travelers. The price per liter, road distance and fuel consumption must match the vehicle and planned journey. Fuel is calculated by the formula distance multiplied by consumption, divided by one hundred, then multiplied by the price per liter. It is not counted a second time in other expenses.

Tolls, crossing, hotels, meals, any border insurance and other expenses each have their own field. Enter the cost for the entire vehicle and its passengers for the trip concerned. For a round trip, explicitly activate the return and fill in its values. The outbound recovery button serves only as a starting point: check each amount, especially if a reservation already covers both directions. No total is doubled automatically.

The cost per traveler divides the total by the number of people entered; it describes an equal split, without distinguishing adult and child rates. An empty field leaves a partial result, while zero indicates an item with no expenditure. The results remain estimates: check offers directly with companies, hotels, and insurers. The crossing comparison tool is still in preparation. You can print the details, share your calculation settings, or choose an optional local save.

Frequently asked questions

How is fuel calculated?

Distance in kilometers × consumption in liters per 100 kilometers ÷ 100 × price per liter. The calculation uses the three values and only rounds the cost to the cent at the end.

Does the return automatically double the total?

No. Outbound and return have separate entries. The return is added only when enabled. If a quote already covers both directions, split it between the two trips or put the full amount in one and zero in the other.

How does the cost per traveler work?

This is the total entered for the vehicle and group, divided equally by the number of travelers. It is not the individual rate offered by a company.

Does changing currency convert prices?

No. All prices must be in the same currency. A change clears the prices after confirmation when they are already entered; distances and fuel consumptions are kept.

Where do prices and the comparator come from?

Prices come from your quotes and assumptions; no ferry, fuel or insurance rates are pre-filled. The crossing comparator is still under preparation and does not yet offer deals.
